ABOUT US

Covert Historical Museum was founded in 1976 by Pearl Sarno. For many years, Mrs. Sarno was a historian for Covert and the surrounding area.

Mrs. Sarno's dream of "Preserving Covert's Past for the Generations of the Future" lives on through the artifacts displayed at Covert Historical Museum.

 

HOURS OF OPERATION

May 15 - September 15
Tuesday's 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Friday's 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm

There are various items from Coverts past on display at the museum:

  • Home Items

  • Clothing from early 1900's

  • Victrola

  • Early refrigerator - circa 1928

  • Wash tubs, ironing boards

  • Doll collection

  • Various pictures, scrapbooks

  • School Items

  • First Bell from Covert Consolidated School

  • Pictures of Covert Public Schools Superintendents

  • Depiction of one room Schoolhouse

  • Community Items

  • Fireman display

  • Girl Scout display

  • Telephone

  • Articles from WWI & II

  • Many more interesting artifacts

ITEMS NEEDED

We are seeking the following articles for display and preservation at the Covert Historical Museum:

  • Pictures

  • Uniforms

  • Newspaper Articles from Vietnam and Korea War Veterans

  • Items to display in the Country Store
